Our highly successful one-day course is designed to give you all the essential information and preparation you need for your medicine or dentistry application.

Applying for medicine and dentistry has always been extremely competitive and hopeful applicants need expert guidance and support to help them make the strongest application possible.

The Uniprep medicine and dentistry application course has been designed to provide a 'one-stop shop' which enables you to plan what you need to do when.

Since the introduction of BMAT and UKCAT, applicants need to start thinking about preparing for these tests in their AS level year. In addition, gaining sufficient and appropriate work experience is often a key factor determining the success of a medicine or dentistry application, and this also needs to be organised well in advance. We will give you infomormation on what types of experience you need to gain, and where and how to achieve this.

On this one-day course you will receive expert tuition and a course handbook providing all the information you need to prepare for your UCAS application and personal statement, as well as vital information on UKCAT, BMAT, work experience, and interviews.

Course Outline
This course is designed for AS level students intending to apply for medicine and dentistry. Many of the topics covered are also relevant to veterinary medicine, and applicants for this field are also welcome to attend. The course covers:

•  Desirable qualities: what makes a good doctor / dentist?
•  Choosing where to apply: entry requirements & other factors to consider
•  Reading up on medicine-related topics: sources of information
•  UKCAT: about the test and how to prepare
•  BMAT: about the test and how to prepare
•  Personal statements: what to include and examples of good statements
•  Drafting your own personal statement and identifying gaps
•  Getting appropriate work experience: what, where & how
•  Thinking ahead to interview
•  Timeframe: what to do when

The Uniprep medicine and dentistry application course is held on Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm in central London in the spring and summer terms, and provides 6 essential hours of information and preparation.
